Small Swarovski crystals come to life on your gown like a tattoo on the skin.
Here is the great innovation at Le Spose di Carol: create “magic on the surface,” already seen with lace but never with real Swarovski crystals.
“The idea came from the desire to render unique each bride and to create her gown faithfully according to the idea she has of it. Transparent details on the surface have been a must in the last few years, lace and sequins appear in very thin transparent tulle placed on the bodies of the brides in an almost invisible manner, but this represents a real innovation for us in Genova.”
Real Swarovski become flowers, stars, leaves, whatever image the bride wants to recreate transparently on her gown is now possible.
And not just that: the crystals vary in size and color, useful in creating unique models. The idea becomes a design: it can be created by the stylists at the atelier or by the brides themselves. Then comes the designing and finally the finished product incorporated to the gown. Almost a signature, an extra accent to render her gown completely personal. A touch of magic that can enhance a neckline at the back or emphasize the shoulders thereby illuminating the face.
The imagination can go wild in a sea of colored crystals and flowers made of pearls, for a very effective result.
“Definitely a lovely novelty,” continues Tiziana Modena, the stylist at Le Spose di Carol, “a new way to reinterpret the gowns’ necklines and enhance them with something so original. The fact that one can create from scratch the applique’s dominant motif makes it all new, unique, different. And the fact that the bride can do it makes it even lovelier. Recently we had a bride who placed a particular flower on the neckline that the fiancé had designed and then transformed into the engagement ring. We applied it on the back … unfortunately we couldn’t see the future husband’s face when he saw that same flower but apparently it was one of a kind!!!”
